6IX9INE FACES ASSAULT CHARGES IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC FOR ATTACKING PRODUCER

In a dramatic turn of events, the controversial rapper 6ix9ine, also known as Daniel Hernandez, was arrested in the Dominican Republic on Friday night. The arrest was captured on camera, with footage showing the 27-year-old being escorted down the steps of a hotel amidst a crowd of onlookers recording the event on their cellphones.

Hernandez was wanted in connection with an assault on two music producers, an incident allegedly linked to his girlfriend, Dominican singer Yailin La mas viral. The news was confirmed by Felix Portes, a Dominican Republic-based criminal lawyer, who revealed in a series of Instagram posts that Hernandez had been trying to leave the country via a private jet. However, due to an arrest warrant issued against him, he was placed on a 'migration alert', preventing his departure.

The assault itself was not caught on camera. However, a video clip allegedly shows a group of men entering a building moments before the attack took place. The men are seen hastily leaving the premises shortly after their arrival.

According to reports from Diario Libre, Yailin was in a recording session with producer Diamond La Mafia when the assault occurred. Five men reportedly stormed the studio demanding Yailin's whereabouts. When they failed to locate her, they began their attack.

One of the victims, who was struck with the butt of a gun, required surgical intervention to realign his jaw. Diamond La Mafia has accused Hernandez of jealousy over his relationship with Yailin.

Following his arrest in Samana town, Hernandez is expected to be transferred to La Vega to face charges related to the assault.
