Sinead O’Conner Cause Of Death Confirmed: RIP To A BEAUTIFUL Soul
The Southwark Coroner's Court in London stated that natural causes led to the death of Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor.
"The coroner has therefore ceased their involvement in her death," the statement reads. "This is to confirm that Ms. O'Connor died of natural causes." She was 56 years old when she passed away on July 26, 2023. She was a trailblazing, outspoken artist who was known for her social activism and her beautiful, powerful voice. Her son Shane, who was 17 years old, took his own life 18 months before her death.
On the day of her funeral in Bray in County Wicklow, thousands of people filled the streets. Among the mourners were Irish president Michael Higgins, and U2's Bono and The Edge.
In March, a tribute concert for O'Connor and her friend, Irish artist Shane MacGowan, will take place in New York. Sinéad & Shane at Carnegie Hall is being organized by City Winery. The performers include David Gray, Glen Hansard, Amanda Palmer and the Dropkick Murphys. MacGowan passed away on Nov. 30, 2023, at the age of 65.
