Snoop Dogg to Host NBC Primetime Show Covering 2024 Olympics

Snoop Dogg, the iconic rapper, is set to temporarily leave the LBC for Paris in 2024. NBCUniversal has revealed that he will be part of their team, providing “regular reports” for the Olympic Primetime Show starting from July 26. This news was shared during the New Year’s Eve game between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings. Snoop expressed his excitement in a statement, “I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness. We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned, and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate, and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?”

The “Gin and Juice” rapper, who has previously worked with NBC during the Tokyo Olympics four years ago, also posted a short video teaser of himself dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower on Instagram. He captioned the clip, “New year mood. Paris 2024 Olympics. C u this summer 👊🏿✌🏿Official. 🇫🇷 🏀 🏐 🏃‍♀️.”

As per NBC, Snoop will be discussing the Paris Games with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico, providing “his unique take on what’s happening in Paris.” He will also be exploring the landmarks, interacting with athletes and their loved ones, and naturally, attending some of the competitions.

Molly Solomon, the executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production, stated, “Snoop is already an Olympic gold medal commentator, generating tens of millions of views for his highlights commentary on Peacock of the dressage competition during the Tokyo Olympics. That performance alone has earned Snoop a job as our Special Correspondent in Paris. We don’t know what the heck is going to happen every day, but we know he will add his unique perspective to our re-imagined Olympic primetime show.”

The Paris Games are scheduled from July 26 to Aug. 11. NBC and its streaming platform, Peacock, will be broadcasting the Olympics.
