Krayzie Bone Survives Near-Death Experience Due to Sarcoidosis

Rapper Krayzie Bone, a member of the legendary hip hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, has revealed that he was hospitalized for nine days in a critical condition due to a rare autoimmune disease. The 50-year-old musician shared a post on Instagram on Monday, thanking his fans for their prayers and support.

"Just fought for life 'Literally' for 9 days straight. And I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with every step of the way fighting for me," he wrote. "Never take life for granted enjoy it while have you have it! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers trust me I needed every last on of them -KR"

According to various reports¹²³, Krayzie Bone suffers from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease that causes the immune system to overreact and form clusters of inflamed tissue called granulomas in one or more organs of the body. The rapper reportedly checked into a Los Angeles-area hospital on Friday, Sept. 24, after he started coughing up large amounts of blood. A CAT scan found that an artery in one of his lungs was leaking, and he underwent emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. However, the surgery was unsuccessful, and he was put on a ventilator and sedated in the intensive care unit on Sunday.

Krayzie Bone's condition was described as "life-threatening" by sources close to him, and many of his friends and fellow artists expressed their concern and well-wishes on social media. LeBron James, who is also from Ohio, tweeted: "Prayers to Krayzie man!!!!" DJ Paul, who collaborated with Krayzie Bone on several projects, wrote on Instagram: "Please pray for my brother Kray. We was just in the lab Wednesday recording, having fun, drinking his new IPA. This is unbelievable."

Krayzie Bone is one of the founding members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, along with Bizzy Bone, Flesh-N-Bone, Wish Bone and Layzie Bone. The group formed in 1991 in Cleveland, Ohio, and rose to fame with their fast-paced rapping style and harmonized vocals. They have sold over 50 million records worldwide and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for their hit song "Tha Crossroads" in 1996.

Sarcoidosis is a rare disease that affects about 150,000-200,000 people in the United States every year⁴. It can affect any organ, but most commonly affects the lungs and lymph nodes. The cause of sarcoidosis is unknown, and there is no cure for it. However, some people may recover without treatment, while others may need medication or surgery to manage their symptoms.

Krayzie Bone's fans are relieved to hear that he is alive and recovering from his ordeal. They are hoping that he will be able to resume his music career soon and continue to inspire them with his talent and faith.
