Cher Implicated In Hiring Men To Kidnap Her Own Son, Court Documents Reveal.
Cher is facing allegations of hiring four individuals to kidnap her son, Elijah Blue Allman, in a bid to prevent him from reuniting with his estranged wife, Marie Angela King, according to recently disclosed divorce papers.
Allman, the offspring of Cher and rock icon Gregg Allman, sought a divorce from King in 2021. However, in November 2022, the couple reportedly spent 12 days together before four men allegedly stormed their New York hotel room and took Allman away on their wedding anniversary.
King expressed her concern about her husband's safety and location in a declaration signed on December 4, 2022. She claimed that one of the men who abducted Allman informed her that they were employed by Cher. Since August 2022, King has been told that she is not permitted to see or communicate with Allman, who is reportedly in a treatment facility at an undisclosed location without access to his phone.
In Allman's absence, King was asked to vacate their home owned by Cher. She complied under the assumption that she would receive timely support payments and be able to afford housing. However, she was not allowed to collect all her belongings or inventory their assets.
Allman has been candid about his battle with drug addiction since his early teens. Following the alleged abduction, he stayed at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont under the supervision of a caretaker hired by Cher. However, earlier this month, hotel staff discovered his lifeless body outside the hotel entrance. He was later escorted by police to a rehab center.
