Halle Bailey and DDG Accuse LA Nail Salon of Racism, Fans Leave Negative Reviews
Halle Bailey went on social media to share a bad experience with a nail salon in Los Angeles that was later doxdd, called perfect nails. Halle said she had called the salon beforehand and told them that her sister Chloe would be late., confirming the the salon would still service her. When she arrived at the empty salon, she and the salon worker had a heated argument about Chloe’s tardiness, which led the worker to cancel Chloe’s appointment. The salon then asked Halle to leave. Halle’s boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG, to leave the place. DDG accused the LA nail salon of racism, saying that they kicked out his girlfriend while she was getting her nails done. He posted on X on Tuesday night (November 21) to complain about the salon he said mistreated Bailey. “This place is racist towards black people,” he wrote on X. “They kicked my girlfriend out while doing her nails.”
He also shared a link to the salon’s Yelp page and asked his fans to give them a bad review.
“Please give them a 1 star,” he said. “They don’t deserve business.” His fans quickly followed his request, leaving 1 star reviews and negative feedback on the Yelp page.
The salon had a 4.4 star rating with 49 reviews when he posted the link. But the rating dropped to 2.5 stars in a few hours, and the page had 115 reviews. Most of the reviews on November 21 gave a 1 star rating and called the salon racist. Many mentioned Bailey’s rumored pregnancy, and expressed anger over how she was allegedly treated. The salon’s Instagram page, which says “NO POLITICS! NO SKIN COLOR! NO NATIONALITY! ONLY NAILS,” in the bio, also received a lot of criticism and accusations of racism, probably because of DDG’s post. The salon denied that they kicked out Halle Bailey in one comment.
“She was late 35 min,” the salon said. “We just didn’t take her.”
After seeing the results of his post, DDG deleted it and posted another one.
“good job,” he told his fans. “Thank you.” The salon owner then went on social media crying due to the harassment DDG’s post caused. The woman looked pregnant in the video and had to close temporarily saying that she was afraid of what people may do. Halle responded by posting, “y’all it is not that serious i just was explaining my day on snapchat and did not name any names. we went to another salon and still got our nails done beautifully lol everyone be nice to everyone and calm down about some nails please”
