Snoop Quits The Smokeđź’¨ Again!
The Instagram post of the rapper, actor and media personality — who is well-known for his love of smoking marijuana — shocked his fans on Thursday.
“I’ve decided to give up smoke after much consideration & conversation with my family,” the post said. “Please respect my privacy at this time.”
He also wrote in the caption: “I’m giving up smoke.” However, the statement does not mean that Snoop Dogg is quitting cannabis altogether, as edibles are still an option.
The marijuana enthusiast, who is 50 years old, has smoked a joint on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards in 2021 and has business connections to various weed strains and edibles. He once claimed that he smokes 81 joints a day and has a personal blunt roller.
Snoop Dogg had already announced earlier this year that he was reducing his smoking habit after becoming a grandfather. Moreover, Snoop has taken smoking breaks before. He stopped for 6 months when he was coaching his youth football league. He also quit in 2003, but he told Jimmy Kimmel that he had a “relapse” soon after. Some people have speculated that he is quitting because of illness, but that is not confirmed. Whatever the reason, we wish Snoop the best and hope he finds peace, clarity, and possibly, edibles.
