Jared Leto Climbs The Empire State Building To Promote 30 Seconds To Mars Tour

Jared Leto, the Oscar-winning actor and rock star, revealed on Thursday that his band will embark on a global tour in 2024. It will be the first time in over five years that the band will headline their own shows.Leto announced the tour as he finished the first ever climb of the Empire State Building. He said to the NBC morning show, “I was more excited than nervous, to tell you the truth. But I have to be honest, it was very, very hard. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Just the endurance that it took, the stamina that it took, and it was very sharp.” Leto, who enjoys rock climbing in his spare time, climbed from floors 86 to 104 on the east side of the building, reaching a height of nearly 1,300 feet. He then climbed the three tiers of the building’s illuminated section until he got to the base of the antenna. He was secured by ropes and gear throughout the climb. “It’s incredible,” Leto said. “To watch the sun rise overlooking the city that’s meant so much to me. Ever since I was a kid, New York stood for the place that you went to make your dreams come true.” He added, “And as a young kid, I wanted to be an artist, and New York was the place that you came to be an artist. And the Empire State Building was always that symbol for me.”The band’s “Seasons 2024 World Tour” will include concerts in Latin America, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. One of the tour stops will be at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, where they will be joined by AFI, Poppy, and KennyHoopla.

Fans of the band can get tickets with a Thirty Seconds to Mars presale starting Friday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m.
